Didn't know they were playing. I take it they're playing at union? Doubt I'll be going cos I'm very short on funds, but I saw em about a month ago in York and they were wicked. Played some well nice tunes.:D :D

I know, it's one of the perils of living in York. I'm so skint at the moment (as u know - feckin landlords:evil: ) too, saving me reddies for Lab4. Can't miss that one.:p

They don't need to be competing with anyone, no. As you said, the club's always busy, and will be no matter what, due to the reputation it's built for itself over the last eleven years.
Lots of different people go to Shindig too, some for the experience and the night out, some specifically for the music and/or a certain DJ. Surely a percentage of the latter may appreciate something a little different once in a while.

only every now and again has shindig booked 'one offs', such as dj sneak, layo and bushwacka, tom stephan etc.
i saw halo and hipp-e a while back, and it wasnt that busy really.

maybe people in this city just aint daring enough to try the more 'underground' names

i mean, would paul woolford fill the club on his own? probably not

though id like to see him with yousef, as 10000 bc

    Re: Your top 3 DJs?

I know this is 4 but,

    LEE FOSTER
    MATT HARDWICK
    GUY ORNADEL
    RICHARD TULIP
    WHY????

Because they all are all mint and unlike alot of djs out there they CAN!! actually mix and put a set together, they dont just play massive tunes, cause that gets boaring...

it is amazing , the lack of good d.js we have...

I've got to agree, been going for the same amount of time and the only people I've spoke to in the dig who have came from a far. Are the people who have came to the town on the piss because they heard it was a good night out and got told shindig was the best night club to go to. Alot of people in the town only go for the name and not dj's (thats my opinion anyway)
