No i have no specialism in public law at all. I will be working in the same offices as the PM's wife though as i'm specialising in employment law! Cherie Blair is the Top employment Q.C. at Matrix which is kind of ironic i guess.

Chambers are not like companies, they are simply a collection of barristers who are all self employed and who contribute a slice of their earnings to running of the chambers.

I want one that I fucking enjoy, even just a little bit and i want to work somewhere where i feel a little appreciated and feel what i'm doing is helping someone somewhere.

Admin is shit. You don't get any appreciation or anything and generally don't feel like doing the work unless you think of the money only.

I don't work just for money. Results are good

    (sex drugs alcohol etc ;))

u don't just work for money? so if u won a competition that gave u £50k a year for life would u still go out to work everyday? i know i fukkin wouldn't! i'd then be able to spend me days doin things that i really enjoy, and it wouldn't be workin!!!!

thats the only reason u need a job u enjoy, coz u don't really want to do it in the first place! :D

I work in a solicitors office as an audio typist in the unsecured loan recovery department.. started off as an office junior which was completely shit but kissed enough arse and got enough good words put in for me to move up a bit.

I have another year of this sort of thing then intend to start training as a Legal Executive which means back to college...
