Picotto is a Fake, good at being a Fake, but a fake, he plays techno like a trance DJ.

Would you say the same about Sven Vath(one of the guys who invented the genre) his mixing style is very like Picotto's in the way he lets the tune play, dont be so narrow minded about the music, its not all about cutting and scratching. Dave Clarke isnt all techno is. Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath 2 of the worlds gratest techno DJs and they both have a "trance" style of mixing as you would put it..

IMO thats what makes techno good, the cutting etc which is why people like Umek will always win over Picotto in my eyes.

Anyway, Sven Vath and Laurent Garnier are true innovators, ONCE again i will say, Picotto is a fake.

There is taking ideas from music, and there is stealing it.

The techno community shuns picotto, u should know that.

The BRITISH techno scene(which is miniscule as far as the rest of the world goes) may have reservations about Picotto. But I assure you that the rest of the world fully accept the fact Picotto plays a bloody good techno set, and alot of the worlds greatest Techno Producers have worked with Picotto and hold alot of respect for him. Dont be so arrogant to think the scene here matters that much, britians dance music scene is looked down upon alot more than the so called purists here look down on picotto. International DJs have many reservations about this country because of the attitude here that DJs have to fall into catigories and genres and if they dont fall into line they are slagged for it. Maybe its our scene thats fake as fuk. Ever thought about it that way?
