I am not making any excuses for him, I am telling you about his Blackburn record. Can you tell me what Souness had at Blackburn when he took over? "McCarthy did last season with the situation he was handed" are you reffering to Rat face Phillips & co bailing out on yous?
Speedboat:spangled: Didnt score the in last 3 games, in fact none of your lot have, even Bramble can stop your muppets from scoring At least got his move to a big club in the end tho, Sunderland was good stepping stone for him.
But fact is we dunno how we will perform until we're back up there do we As it stands - your lot are a joke
Thanks largely to Duff and Dunn, two players he inherited. Fell out with one, and fair play nowt he could do about losing Duff. He had higher ambitions. Whatever u say about individuals not making that much of a difference, Duff is special. Hes worth 15 points a season to any side. Im sure with 15 points less that season, theyd have finished about 14th or something. He left, they became a poor side overnight. Go figure. Souness is clueless. Great player. Shit manager. Act now. Dont let him waste millions in January.
Some great points there ay Vinny. So all that Blackburn achieved when Souey was there had nothing to do with him, yet all that was wrong did. I am surprised he didn't get the sack. I ain't happy with the way things are going but the roots of the problems comes from selling Nobby + Speed + our defence. Forget Woodgate he would of only made the physios more busy.
nobby caused us massive problems last sat. was very suprised you let him go. made downing look average which is quite hard to do at the moment.
Souness is a born winner who gave 110% as a player and was never beaten. The result was his array of medals from his time at Liverpool. As a manager he demands the same from ALL of his playing staff. He can't understand shrinking violets, people who need an arm round the shoulder, or immensly talented individuals who are inconsistent. These people in his eyes don't work enough. He is 1-dimensional and therefore will never scale the great heights he did as a player
Very true. Bobby did start the malaise. Nobby was excellent. He has been in top form for Villa. Should never have gone. Poor price achieved too. Griffin too. Not a superstar, but solid, dependable and never let us down, unlike the various rejects that have been playing at RB in Carrs absence. And we let him go for nowt! I know Bobby released him because of his injury problems, but look, hes now doing an excellent job for Portsmouth. Speed. Agreed also. Our most consistent player for years. Was still doing it. No need to be sold, just cos of his age. I suppose his Bobbys time was up. But we appointed the wrong man. If we couldnt get the right man, id have just stuck with Bobby until we could. Half-arsed appointment.
Is that sarcasm? He wasnt far off the sack when he left. All the fans were glad. No compensation to pay either. Winner!
The thing I miss most about Speed is his height in midfield, we have to many little un's in the midfield & we have smallish full backs as well. We need to sign soome fooking giants @ the back.
The black cats are playing really well, but with current squad i would be VERY suprised if they stayed up if they got promoted.. they would need 5 or 6 prem class players at least
