come off it, newcastle are seen as a top side because of where they've finished in past years, recently we've had a slump, but thats one big slump and we've still got enough quality to stay in the premiership, maybe if sunderland did spend spend spend they wudnt have to go thru heartache all the time, and like spud says we've had a go, what big teams have u had at the stadium of shite ;)

indeed, he should have about £25 mil to play with (even with a low league position), a close season to organise and evaluate our situation and new players to reinforce areas he feels require it.

we definitely have problems - sure. but the side isnt exactly dramtically different from the one that has had good league finishes. we need to get our team spirit back, and to provide cover for areas in which we have lost people.

and i for one look forward to seeing what souness has in mind.

still finished respectably tho...no ;) depends which way u look at it, wud u rather be in sunderlands position or newcastles, we know we're on a slump, but we also know we have quality players their, and have the money to strengthen our side, and altho u dont think newcastle are a BIG side, i think we will still have more pulling power than sunderland will ever have, let sunderland have their moment of joy i say, youll be shot down in flames soon enuf ;) :D
