    that is one of the old belt driven ones which there were a couple of teething problems with, this happened a couple of times and the other main problem with them was they made a long droning noise. These were both rectified with the new direct drive ones that were brought out. no noise, not exploding belt snapping escapades, and NO EXTREME WINDY WEATHER CONDITIONS.

    Just looking on youtube, fuckin hell how many of them have fell to bits lol. Magine a few of them near ur house man, a wudnt sleep at night knowing 1 of them cud come tearing thru my window :lol:

    Shepherd Offshore are buying or may now have bought Amec’s former home in the Hadrian Yard, and the nearby Neptune Shipyard as sites for wind turbine construction

    but i think they'll be building offshore wind turbines there, although there's a problem getting the ships that can move the contructed turbines to their offshore location, i.e they don't have any of those ships!
    must be good to be able to start multimillion pound enterprises with major logistics missing safe in the knowledge you can spend millions more to buy them down the line or write the whole thing off as a loss without losing sleep





    on a non related point sherperd offshore have also bought that old garage on osborne road apparently
