I don't really notice it too much but it is what seperates the GODS from the GOODS.

i cant help but listen out for mixes now which is a pitty really....but if im smashed then to be honest i rarely notice.....

tune selection is defo more important, but if yer payin money to see a world class DJ then u expect mixes to be bob on anyway!

DJ critisiscm .Its a danger to the scene IMO. Loads of peeps who own decks shakin their heads on the D floor sayin to each other "what the fuck is he deein , i can do better than that!!"

lol, but if some mixing is blatently shit, then people will comment, its typically other DJs that comment though, i would be lying if ive nevr been in a club and thought, that was a shite mix, followedby another shite mix! Listen to the Galaxy DJs...lol. Saw one live and couldnt mix for shit, its the crapper clubs that have less technically skilled DJs though.

For DJs, beatmatching is important, but for Punters, tunes are more important, considering most punters dont really have a clue what the DJ is doing anyway.

good technical ability can get you noticed to the right people though, so i think it is very important in that respect.

    my opinion...

for wot its worth i think that to make an excellent DJ both excellent tune selection AND excellent technical ability is a must!!!!

anyone can slap some records on what THEY like and mix them together.....

but i odnt think that is enough....

if everyone just did this imagine how bored we would be?!?!?! thats why we look forward to seein' different dj's.....cos most of them have their own style and sound which they create...which seperates them from others......

its all about creating your own sound and creating it well!!!!

tis just what i think its like anyway.........

    very true!

by the way, when i say crap clubs, i mean crap clubs, not just less known clubs.

    Like the boat for example.

got some galaxy DJs in and they sucked!
