its a marathon not a sprint sonna, lets see how many the welsh one and Defoe have at the end of the season

As for Owen surely you're reversing your own argument by going on the form of 2 games instead of what's happened during the season as a whole  You can't have it both ways :tut:

You can't accuse me of bias cos I never suggested that King should remain in defence despite the fact he's done nothing wrong). I realise that Rio and Scumbell have the edge in that department and were correctly restored. King is better than Terry tho

For the record I still believe Owen is a top-class striker. However his inclusion was not warranted at the time of England's double header at the start of the month since he was out of form and lacking matches.

Thats the point Defore should be scoreing more goals than Bellers, as Bellamy is a forward rather than a striker.

Defoe will score plenty this season, I have no doubt about that

Surely Bellamy (when played up front) plays on the shoulder of the last man?

He goes deep a lot & plays down both flanks.

so does Defoe mate - he comes short for the ball, turns and runs at the defenders. He's not the box player I thought he was when he came to Spurs. We could do with him in the box, though for the moment I would settle for crossing the half-way line

No, I did aswell. Didn't post in this thread, but did in other England threads! Really glad to see him scoring again, can only be good for us.

BTW Defoe is a little hothead, he's been sent off a couple of times, a bit like what Owen used to be like tbh. Didn't he get sent off at Old Trafford for going over the top!
