who can drive??

    passed 1st time when i was 17 in 1992, after 6 'offical' lessons, although had been drving about a year b4 that, got mi first mini when i was 16. Wrote off my 2nd mini after having an altercation with a concrete bollard at a pelican crossing. Currently in a black 1999 Laguna RT Sport. Just lost 8 points off mi license so i'm down to 3. not big and clever.

    Passed on a week intensive course - me and my brother. He took the test first and passed - this really pilled the pressure on! Passed though :D

    Took my test around Jesmond - good area for it - nice wide roads! Much better than Gateshead - I failed my first test there - gutted!

    I drive a Citroen ZX Advantage 1.9 Turbo Diesel - picked it up at an auction a few years ago.

    aye its a twat when u start tottin up ya points like. altho i've been passed 10 years i haven't had me liscence the whole time. had bout 7 months of bans too and just recently got me liscence clean again!

    (i have been very lucky aswell like ;) )

    I passed 3rd time. Never had any big crashes, jus some scrapes like last weekend on the backroads on the way 2 gg site

    i might take my test around jesmond coz i live there! i hope i do anyway. im dead excited, should i not be?

    December 19th, my last 3 points will expire after 4 years then i can get them off mi license... ahhhh to be pure again.

    driving instructor is forever too busy to do a test! he's a knob.

    I'm learning in a 1.2 corsa and my mam and her boyfriend have a 1.1 Saxo. I've just had my 11th lesson and did my first 70mph on a dual carriage way... wooo :D

    did you not get told off for speeding?
    i thought the dual carriage limit was 60?

    my instructer is mint, all he talks about is how caned he got at the weekend and what he did, its funny as fuck!
    "take a left at the roundabout, eeh on saturday we went to the woods with loads of shrooms, got wankered and ended up swimming in this big lake....";)

    no, but i thought that a 2 laned road was a 60 limit?
    i drive on the a1 everyday, and thats a 60 limit

    70 is it not? isn't it something to do with street lights on a dual carrige way?

    it's to do with national speed limit signs. on a dual carriage-way national speed limit would = 70, on a single road lane it would be 60. unless a specific speed limit had been attached to the road.
