    Are you in time warp?

Big Sami has been shit for at least 2 years now, why do you think they took the captains armband off him.

Because Steven Gerrard is a better leader. Plus it's advantageous to have a midfielder as a captain has instruction and support can distribute better form this position. True some great captains have also been defenders and I don't take anything away from them.

I don't really think it's fair to call Sami "shit". Bramble is "shit". Sami's had a tough time and has lacked a genuine defensive partner which has let his game suffer. He has, on more than one occasion, proved important for Liverpool both offensively aswell as defensively but during the treble winning season his contributions were vital as part of a team.

The probelm is not Hyppia by himself but a fundamental problem with Liverpool as a defensive unit which reflects badly on Sami as his support was often not there. He had a few off games as most defenders do but to say he is "shit" is harsh. :lecture:

Your right he is not shit, his form has been shit for a very long time.

He is the best centre half at Liverpool but a shadow of his former self

Woodgate is the dogs bollox, very commanding, hope he doesnt get injured, cause our defence goes pearshaped with officer Bramble in charge.

Thats cool because it wasn't a question.

Well said here though. He was Houllier's best buy and his consistency had to wane at some point. This season he will be better. Cliché time, "form is temporary, class is permanent".
