I do go to the gym, but I usually just do CV stuff and a few machines. Always feel a bit of a tit doing weights when there's big 20-stone bodybuilders there

I've thought about protein supplements too, because I don't eat enough protein.

Cheers for the answers lads :)

I was on a high protein diet when I did Atkins last year, and it made me feel sick, hence the idea of protein supplements.

I'll phase more protein in somehow!

Chicken, tuna, eggs does get a bit repetitive. You have to spread it out over the day as well otherwise it wastes away, your feeding the muscle gradually that way.

You also have a window of opportunity after you train, that's where Protein supplements come into there own.

I've not tried them yet so can't comment.

    comfortably numb !

I have and it works, you have two windows for protein intake. Within 10 minutes of waking up and immediately after training :)

It's quite expensive using the supplements but very effective, I was using Cretine and Metrex protein. Cost about £50 a month for the supplements + a high protein diet + days a week at the gym.

Put me over 13 stone, lost it all in 5 weeks in Ibiza

creatine will usually do wonders if you don't eat a lot of red meat, an will still help a little bit if you do...

apart from that the protein supplements (if you can't get adequate amounts from your diet) are the only things that have been shown to work more than just as a placebo...

mos of the 'free form amino acids' etc you will just piss em straight out unless you have a really poor diet.
