    TRANCE.

But I dont agree that the board is a true reflection of the club...........Halliwell has most votes on here but attracted one of smallest gates the club has had this year?

    i dont wanna fight...

i thought it was busy enough... i would say that this board is a fairly true represntation of the ppl who go to promise who care about the club, and who arent out for a friday night piss up sesh. alot of "beerboys" might not be aware who eddie halliwell is, however, when the likes of maybe seb mundane or jules play then this will attract the wider beerboy crowd.
like smartE said earlier in the thread, there are about 200 odd members on the baord who view regularly, but i would say that there are probably another 300 or so who go to promise regularly and would say it is their fave. club night. i wouldsay that is a fair represntation of the ppl of the ppl who go to promise. and there's no rules on who can join, if ppl want to come on and post their feelings about the clubs music policy(constructively:)) then they are more than welcome to do so, that's what the board is here for!
    phew!
    :D
    ps i love beerboys :)

tbh i wasnt sure what he was gonna play, i was mainly attracted by the fact that he was a big name dj, and that i knew it wouldbe a good laff of a nite. i wouldnt travel to see him play, im not syaing im not a fan but techno isnt my fave :)

    A big Picotto fan!!!

    I voted 4 techno!!

It was a very hard choice, because I like all the styles, and thats how Promise should be, It would get boring if it was the same sort of music every week. The only reason I picked techno was because Mauro Picotto was amazing last year, and it was probably the best every night I've ever been to at Promise.

That's cos Picotto's fucking quality and people travelled for miles around to check him out.

Add to this the Geordies turned out expecting him to play "The Lizard" I think............but it was by far the best set/night I have experienced in the Club.

As for the style of music I voted Trance as voting Techno would be a waste of time....... Techno has a smaller following and there's not a chance Promise would work with Techno........its just about scrapeing by playing top drawer trance which shows you this city just hasnt got enuff of a market for a exclusive hard dance night.
