me 1st job was horrible. In a garden centre filling those big plastic sacks with sand and gravel then piling them on a pallet.

Was expected to do about 40-50 an hour, bags were hundredweight each so works out at shifting bout 20 tons of the stuff every 8hr shift

......and I had to get up before I went to bed, have gravel for breakfast and walk 20 miles t'work :p

Fortunately, I've never had a shitty job :)

I'm still in my first 'real' job and before that, I only used to be a paperboy! :D And in a sad kinda way, I enjoyed that! :dunce:

eurgh.... *shudders* god the worst job i eva had to do was at the start of the summer holidays last year when i'd spend all ma student loan and was soooo badly into ma overdraft n i saw this advertisement in the local paper 4 wanting students 4 £5 an hour to get people to sign up n pledge £1 a week to this kiddies charity which doesnt soud too bad but it was the most demoralising job in the whole word i had to go knocking on ppls doors say all this stuff n most people just slammed the door in ma face i hated it more than anything else in the world it was sooo embarrasing and shit!! consequently i only stuck at it 4 2 days i'd rather stay in every friday 4 a month than put maself through that every day!! then the weather started gettin nice so i started back at ma usual sumer job in ma seaside bucket n spade/sweetie shop n i managed to pay off ma overdraft n hav money to go out so it all turned out okay in the end!! :) xxx

erm... i worked for my dad's construction company for a bit - doing loft conversions - seriously, the nastiest job you would ever want to do... go into loft, drag out shit... get floor bits in, reinforce everything... put walls up... and then - put fibreglass wool into EVERYWHERE... i done this job for about 4 - 5 months... and every day i would come home wanting to rip my own skin off because i had been rolling around in fibreglass wool all day. and i even fell trough someones ceiling, and nearly landed on them - and it bloody hurt.

If anyone thinks about getting a job doing loft conversions - dont. (oh, as well as that, you have never experienced heat like that during summer - to try to put it into perspective, u r in a dirty, smelly loft, in the hottest point of the house, fitting insulation - which is quite a phsyical job, and ur itching like hell from the wool... i think ive said enough.)

    :D :groovy: :D
