Yeah I’ll agree, I would still say that this site is predominately a clubbing message board. However, even if people started clubbing week in week out would they post more? Would it entice older members to log back on and post again? You may get more people posting in the thread about the previous nights clubbing but that would be it. Who wants to read 50 peoples posts about how good [insert DJ’s name here] was last night? As much as I love going/talking about clubbing it does get pretty tedious talking about it all the time. Surely there’s more to talk about than clubbing?

Personally this site used to be great for me for finding out about listings but I don’t think its relevant for that as much as it was. Eveything can be found on myspace/Facebook now

It might be a lot quieter since the original Promise finished but maybe a lot of people might have stopped coming on because the night was no longer. Id more than likely stop visiting a club’s site if the night itself was defunct. How do people find out about the site? There’s no way of ‘new blood’ finding out about the any more. It used to be promoted on the Promise flyers and even a few Junior G one’s but nothing since. The only thing I can think of that promotes the site these days is the Podcast group on Facebook, but that’s hardly got any members so far and wont get seen nearly as much as a flyer/poster would.

I prefer browsing the listing sections on here rather than messages to me on my Facebook. I delete the lot with out ever reading them.

On the subject of promoting:

Nee wonder some nights do poor in Newcastle, the flyer people are so worried about the cost of the flyers rather than dishing the fuckers out on mass like clubs do in Ibiza. Its seems it all about selecting the punter (usually a student or some 50 cent type dood from Africa) rather than get the information out to many people as possible. They also seem a bunch of lazy bastards as well, who employs these people? Do you have any jobs going on decent wedge? As I could do with a job where all I have to do is stand around & chat on Northumberland Street & occasionally hand out a bit of paper every 10 to 15mins.

Turn off rant.

As for the board with texting, facebook & less friends online who you would maybe have a drink or go out with on night of mischief online it is obvious usage will be down.

If the Digital drama a few months back did not get extra punters on here not much else will.
