    fuck alls happened to the boards man, MOS being offline for a bit doesnt make every one elses crack dissapear too.

    theres a lot more new members, give them time to get accustomed to the boards and the crack, and the rest will follow.

    I dont come on as much as i used to as theres not that many peoples posts i enjoy reading, half the posts at the moment seem to be teknofish complaining about stuff or rory space spouting a load of illegible bollocks.

    facebook, twitter, bebo etc are the reasons.

    with a few exceptions, most forums are the same now.

    habit forum is the same, 'lurkers' but no one posting. still the odd banter but nowhere near the same as it used to be.

    I think until recently there's been nothing to justify people joining the board as they can read all the same shit and download all the same mixes without even joining the board. I said it this morning in a certain other forum on here and Conway quite rightly pointed out it does help build interest in this place, but without a real incentive, or gain to join, people will just continue lurking.

    There were 111 people on the board the other day and only about 30 of those (max) were members ffs.

    At least newbies don't get scared out of here before their accounts are barely activated like back in the day though.

    i joined the board in 07' and it was a similar story then, i think this is an opening to a greater clubbing community to which you couldent really find on facebook or myspace. i've made alot of fucking good mates off here and tbf have found a fair bit work as well. people who say negative things about this board are basically members who were geet proper top posters on the promise boards years ago and are sour about it being the way it is now.

    aye fair enough networking sites like facebook and myspace have effected it fucking shitloads, but then again promise/foundation closed down around the time when it was being created.

    can't you understand that brid and conway are trying to sort that out, and are doing they're upmost to keep members happy. i'm in full confidence that the popularity will rise again, all it needs is the correct publicity to get it going again. since it's had fuck all since promise closed down.

    FFS people start thinking positive for a change and stop stroking them momumental metaphorical chins for christ sake.

    Facebook is a large part of the problem we're having. It helps mates stay in touch far more easily and that's why this place seems to be so quiet, as the banter has moved onto there.

    There are other bits that facebook isn't doing so well (like talking about what's on for example). You can only see what's going on event-wise if you're in a group for a particular or friends with a promoter, or one of your mates is attending.

    The facebook groups are devoid of crack as well. Look at the Digital group for example. Over 7000 members and less than 800 posts/threads on their group wall.

    It's a shame aye. Everyone is hooked on social networking sites but they are total gash for creating or supporting a good active community with people interacting with each other.

    For dong event invites and keeping everyone up to date they are completely unbeatable, but they have turned us all into gibbering divvies barking slogans and chit chat at each other.

    I love facebook but it's nowhere near as good as a forum can be.
