    Whats happened to Promise?

    Seeing as I was the one that started this whole debate questioning the direction of Promise, I thought it only fair to say a massive well done to Guy Ornadel for last Friday.

    Although the club seemed to be only half full, Ornadel played a great set for the first couple of hours up until about 2ish when it all became one tune.

    Although I still think that turning Promise into NICE #2 is a mistake , its good that you can still book quality once in a while.

    IMO Promise supplies all kinds, although most of the trance is often more hard than soft and floaty I still have a wicked night. For one thing the atmosphere is wicked!! Everyone's friendly and I dont worry about people tryin to nick me girlfriend cos the majority of people there are there for tunage and not birdage (they all go to the boat for that etc.!!).

    00 Fleming was fairly prog in parts. And Taucher was too, chilled out mainly - I LOVED IT, but most of the other punters never. So Id expect and encourage Mark & Co. to keep evolving Promise's style - I love prog but I have just as good a time when its not prog and I keep coming back!!

    Definitely no Sasha though? :mad: :spangled: :dunce:
