    ermm ok....BUT YOUR WRONG!!

i love all types of dance music and have been going to promise regularly from the start. i dont understand why you think promise is hard house? i take it you havent been to promise very often over the last 12 months because more often than not there is at least some prog in a night @ promise. either that or our definition of hardhouse is vastly different!!

i can see that your a prog lover but apart from the sasha night how often was promise busy when the main dj was prog? burridge, P & W, warren, and the rest never got close to filling the club if my memory serves correct. in my opinion basing the friday night @ promise wholely on prog will never work because it is 2 close a style to that of shindig.

promise at the moment is going in the right direction as far as im concerned. it has a nice balance of quality music (normally starting with a prog or wet and hard warm up building to some nice girly or harder trance.) promise is getting busier and busier each week. more and more people are travelling further to come to promise each week. the atmosphere at promise is much better each week. there are more and more happy people each week.

the facts are clear: progressive didnt work. if you opened up your mind a bit more to more than just prog im sure you woild be able to appreciate that promise is still playing quality intelligent music..

btw as for your hardhouse comments i dont know what the fuck u are on about. not a good line of arguement mate because its makes you look incompetant.

Erm wet and hard? I don't really need to say any more do i.

How about soft and floppy? Or greasy and fat?

Oh and by the way i graduated with a first class honours degree in music so i would have thought i had a little knowledge.

And no i'm not just into prog, i like loads of d.j's in different styles (FC Kahuna, Layo and Bushwacka, Darren Emerson etc)

Sorry i forgot to add -

Intelligent music???? I'd hardly call Anne fuckin Savage or DVD intelligent, hardly pushing the boundaries are they??

Wet and Hard is the dogs danglys - Seeing as u know so much about music with ur degree maybe u could explain to us what the concept of wet and hard is. I know cause I read it in a magazine - don't tell me they didn't teach u it in your amazing course about music which obviously taught u so much. Did it ever teach you that what is good music to one person is shit to another and that by pleasing one person with prog house ur not gonna please the masses who want other styles.

Maybe u should get a few lessons in common sense b4 u go spouting off about ur degree.

    God im bitchy 2day

wasnt insulting your knowledge of music, just pointing out that your definition of hard house is alot different than most other people's.

in my opinion wet 'n hard has loads of influences and crossover's with prog house. loads of tribal and twisted beats..no need to put it down just because none of its on global underground!!!

just take him off the board, hes a fool...

i dont go onto techno boards and say its shit, and the club is shit, just cos i dont like techno, so why the fuck does he waste time doing the same to trance/promise!

no1 is talkin bout techno, it was just my very bad analogy!! :p
basics was saying that trance, and most of the music they play now is crap, and they have sold out, and i was making thew point that its silly going onto a board of a club where u dont like the music and saying so. it just seems like a waste of time.....if u know what i mean?
i wouldnt go onto the orbit's board (if they had/have1) and start saying techno is crap....

    get me?

bit of a feeble point actually.....never mind...

I do happen to think some trance is good.

Take for example Sasha's set from Ibiza - that was trance the way i like it and i'm sure would have lifted the roof off Promise.

And please don't say it was prog cos it wasn't
