how does promise play hard house?? erm correct me if im wrong, but djs like Andy Farley, Ian M, Karim, Steve Hill are "hard house" DJs, I ve never heard Promise play what any of these peeps would...

These loyal people still go, I went to see Tyrant, Parks and Wilson etc. last year... and enjoyed myself... I do not believe that u can only stick to one genre, i like what i like... nuff said...

If i like a Proggy DJ, then i ll go and see them, if i like a hard house dj, i ll go and see them...

Oh and I dont go to Promise really, coz i ve moved back to London... but i do miss the place and peeps loads!!

    What are u talkin about?

Labeling Promise a Hard Houdr club is almost an irrelavent point, as regardless of what you label it - its succesful and isn't likely to change in the near future. Your arguement is getting very old very fast, there is only so many times people are going to respond with "Prog didn't work, Promise had to move forward and go back to a formula that works........ trance"

    This is getting very old.

And for the record if you want to find out what a real Hard House club is try: Trade, Sundissential, Insomniacz. And yes Tony De Vit was an amazing DJ, but there have been loads of pioneers since him. Dance music is always evolving as are the DJ's.

*picks up phone and dials Tony's No.*

Doggie "Hello Tony, that u mate?
TDV "Yeah Doggie how u doin?"
Doggie "Yeah quality mate, listen can u do me a favour?"
TDV "Yeah no probs, go for it!"
Doggie " Im not too sure what hard house is, so could you play me a bit of your stuff down the phone like stuff from your Global Underground Set in Tel Aviv, so I can hear "proper hard house"?"
    TDV "Yeah no probs"
    *puts on cd*
    (Two mins later)

Doggie " AAHHHH now i know what Hard house is, there was me thinkin thats what Tidy Trax, Frantic and Sundissential were, but obviously not, cheers mate!"
TDV " No probs see ya"

    *hangs up*

I try to be objective and give thoughtful answers but come on mate, are you just doing this to annoy people?

How you can say that Tall Paul and Mauro play the same music I just really don't understand, have you actually listened to them play?

It's appreciated that your provoking a good convo but do you know your musical arse from your musical elbow?

Whatever keeps em rolling in i suppose.

So when r Hixxy, Sharkey and Dougal playing? You could have a Bonkers vs Tidy Trax showdown!!! Class!!! Place would be rammed.

By the way there's no such thing as hard trance boys and girls, it's just your way of trying to prolong a shite sound that died ages ago.

But never mind, you'll always be known as a Gatecrasher wannabe instead of a club that could really have made it's mark

i'm sorry but this is simply sad. does it matter what musical direction promise takes in that just as long as the atmosphere is right, people are friendly and the nights are busy? promise is still around at the time when clubland is in demise. i've gone from playing sundissential to playing saturday nights @ legends. have i sold out? no i need to pay the bills. if you want promise to survive then stopped slagging it off and support it FULL STOP. if promise goes what will replace it? charva trance night or skool disco type shite are the likely options. don't let it come to this.

Have you always been the promoter of Promise? Because I seem to remember during the prog period the Promoters wanted nothing to do with Hard Trance and when it was put to them they dismissed the idea and said Prog was the way to go??

Are you serious??? I go to promise FOR THE MUSIC it plays not because i love the club, so you would go to promise if it played chart music just cos ya love promise.

Its all about the music, if promise started playing shit music i woudnt go, just like what happened to the Sugarshack.
