I'm a bit older than you lot....I was one of the original skinheads...the first time around. We wore clothes that most of you will have never heard of....

the ubiquitous (sp) Dr. Martens (the original ones with 8 holes, tags on the back and stitching)
Levi sta-prest in (two tone were the most stylish)
Ben Shermans with button down collar
    Fred Perry polo shirts
    Fred Perry sweaters
Parallels (they were kinds slightly baggy pants but with parallel legs, quite often in bright colours)
Skinners (an unusual make of white baggy jeans)
    Harrington jacket with tartan lining
    Crombies in the winter.

    Happy days....that was style.

i used to quite shy at school, hung around with my 2 best mates, we were all on the hockey and cross country teams.

was friends with a few of the 'hard' lasses which was always handy. my sister was at school the same time as me (her last year, my first year) and she was really popular so that got me known.

then at about 13 started hangin around with my cousin and the lads from the village, one of whoms dad used to grow weed:chill: . so we used to skip school and get stoned in the graveyard.

then got my head down in the final year, got good grades, got into college and now uni, doing what i'd always said i wanted to do, but no one believed i would.

bump into people now and they haven't changed, got no life, no money, no job - losers.

    Hard to say really !

I have had all the scallie clothes but gave them away, Ben Shermans / Rockports / Lacoste / Air max and so on !

Round mine there was always trouble between different areas and it normally happened when i was out !

I was a little shit sometimes when i was younger but never got caught - i never really hung round with people from school nor do i see them now and then used to just hang around with people from my area !

Heaton and Jesmond Dean used to be popular at the weekends for getting pissed in - bottle of cider and then fall over off two mouth fulls (bit like now really)

Far too many things on here to name like - i went thru a faze of lighting fires everywhere n throwing aerosols in, popping windows, running thru back gardens etc !

The list goes on and how ive moved on !
