    erm, no.

    Oxygen free cables have nothing to do with magnetic shielding.

    If they're not magnetically shielded (which a lot of them aren't - degrades sound quality in some speakers), you should be fine as log as they're about half a metre away from any monitor/tv etc.

    I've a problem with my stand mounted B&W's in the house, TV's too close & I can't move the speakers anywhere due to the shape of the room!!! The Tannoy's that I used to use were fine there though. Have to put up with it until I move... :D

    think the hollow openings are called bass ports. when you put your hand over them it feels like a fan

    my studio monitors are magnetically sheilded but pick up that phone noise

    my stereo speakers however don't make that noise and aren't magnetically sheilded so fuck knows

    the studio monitors are active speakers which i would have thought be sheilded too

    the crappy stereo doesnt pick anything up tho
