    Went to Berlin last November with the wifey and it was mint.

    Loads to do and quite cheap in all aspects.

    Plus a lot of them speak English so its easy to get around.

    Oslo is definitely more expensive for booze. I'd say £5 was about the normal for a pint in the city centre. For the sake of a quid and a bit extra per drink it's hardly going to matter unless you're just going over there to get completely horrific. Apart from that, I didn't find Oslo particularly expensive at all.

    Would definitely recommend Barcelona and Berlin. Nice/South of France too - the weather will probably still be alright in November.

    and i grew up 30 miles north of Aberdeen :lol:

    proper GRIM area of the country, doesnt get much worse than the likes of Fraserburgh, Rosehearty and Strichen

    Barcelona is mint so is Paris and you can really cheap tix if you book enough is advance, If she would be cool with it I'd recommend staying in a Hostel i've stayed in loads, there are some really nice ones round like not propa scruffy like people think.

    Argh Id lurve to go to Paris or Pisa for a short break, but lack of someone to go with, money and holidays from work mean Im going nowhere til Peru then nothing til next April :eek: :(
