i'm just at the stage in my life now where i am raring to go and ready to go clubbing again....

    Q: what do i find?

A: There's nothing, thats right people i opened my mouth and said NOTHING worth going to in Newcastle at all. It's a load of rubbish. pardon my french.

I dont want to go to a club and here the same shite being pumped out all night and in all rooms, whatever happened to variety is the spice of life? Why did Tall Trees give up? I'm so gutted now, i could just do with a good night out at Retro...i'm gonna have to wait till April for the empire and go there.

NEWCASTLE HAS A SHIT NIGHTLIFE E.O.

    Peace

I agree with what your saying to a degree but using the likes of tall trees and retro to base your case on is laughable!!

Tall Trees is fuckin awful and Retro is shite to, you have complained about going to a club and hearing the "same shite being pumped out all night"......isn't this what happens at retro as it's a classics night isn't it??? :dunce:

Check out the Cleer thread, binni has revived the ballrooms with that new light rig!!

Your dead on with that one but as soon as I seen the clubs set up with those lights I was making arrangements to go to the next CLEER.

They gave the place a total kick up the arse for me, lets hope someone does the same to the door staff and that cock with the afro who goes round pointin people out.

Q: Where have you been? Having a baby? Have you gotten rid of the weight and ready 2 hit the toon again with the girls?

A: You clearly have no clue about what's going on in the newcastle club scene, there may not be as much as other cities but there are some quality nights about with a really good vibe and even ones with different music in different rooms..

If your idea of a varied quality night out is Retro at Talltree's then your right there is nothing going on at all so stay at home till April n have fun at the empire :finger:

I have to agree with rankin & stu. There's tons of stuff out there for everyone. The minimal/tech stuff might not be to everyone's tastes but it's not the only game in town

you tell me whats worth going too and i'll disagree, at the end of the day its an opinion based on tastes and not one of you can tell me there's stuff in newcastle worth going too if i dont like that sort of music...end of

retro was used purely on the basis that the last time i went it was amazing, tall trees was amazing...3 rooms different genres in each room, fair enough one of them was the YMCA room, but i enjoyed dancing my arse off in there a few times too.

I want big clubs, with big beats and big atmosphere....where can i get that up here???:screw:

aye but as a club i hate it, i'm not going to list my reasons for this but everyone is entitled to an opinon and this is mine....But also there not normally the kind of beats i like, we've been through this chewy...your not gonna change me. I'm not jumping on your ketamine fueled minimal techno bandwagon.

anyhoo i never came on here to argue with people who dont know me (not chewy) about the kind of clubs i want...i was merely making a personal statement and since wax:eek:n are clearly reshuffling their priorities hoping they might give an idea of what sort of route they might be wanting to take things as it may be of interest to me as there is nothing else any good up here.

Moist was only ever a one off so i wouldn't call it running a night...but yes. It's not just the music though, its the clubs....they're pants. Digital = pants, cosmic = pants, WHQ = pants...and i'm not even going to categorize camp david as a club. And all the smaller stay open late bars is not what i'm after.

I dont really like all this monotonous house thats been dribbled out at the moment, i'm honestly not normally this demanding or picky, my musical taste is eclectic to say the least.....but i somehow find that everything at the moment seems monotonous and i get bored after about an hour, or just too hard & fast all night its like a competition to see who redline the most. You have to admit, we suffer where genre is concerned. I think i'm going to have to go abroad to get what i crave. bummer ha ha:cool2:
