    yeah - I read it.

it's got goodgreef plastered all over it, yet gg are washing their hands of paying the main headline dj who'd been playing for them earlier elsewhere... therefore to me it looks like they're essentially franchising their name out, which as I said originally is a bad idea because you lose control of stuff and your reputation get's damaged.

it looks to me just like when newcastle uni tried to do a bugged out night - bugged out just franchised the name, sorted the dj bookings, did the artwork and left the rest to newcastle uni, it flopped badly as well.

I don't really give a shit, just pointing out that if you allow our name to be used by other promoters around the country to promote events, then the risk is that some of these promoters will fuck it up and your reputation will be damaged by that.

Fair play I know if I was on my way into graft and I got a phone call on the way in saying "Oh by the way Sweeney were not going to pay you for youre shift" I'd turn straight round and jump back into my pit and spend the day watching Jeremy Kyle.

Bad craic for the people that turned up to see him though.

They dont franchise the name out mate, the goodgreef guys were at the event in person, I spoke with Barry sunday morning as he was driving back from Wales. There washing there hands of what had happened as it wasn't them!! it was the Venue or other promoter, like I say this isn't hear-say it came from the horses mouth?

Im not going to insult your intelligence on how explaining how a night works in association with other nights or versus nights etc... but the bigger night gets the exposure, I dare-say you got that flyer of some GG website or DSI even. take Bryan Kearney & Jordan Suckley for a perfect example, they were booked by the the Venue - Collision not goodgreef, the Collision name & Venue name only have a small part on the flyer, yet they payed for them, but the goodgreef brand name is more blatant on the artwork. Take PVD when he played for Digital, how much artwork did the Club actually get... next to none! it was all Artwork about his new album & links to his sites etc...

Sander played the night before for GG so im just assuming they suggested to the guys in Cardiff he was in the Country or available to book him, the night does badly & unlike GG the club cant pay Sander.

Like I previously said mate, Sander is regarded very highly by the whole GG outfit & it's not a stunt they'd pull over the sake of £1000-£1500 which to them is pocket change when it comes to some bookings.

They've just out sold Tall Trees at £20 a head in a 7500 capacity venue a few weeks ago, there hardly in a situation where they cant pay for DJs a few weeks down the line.

I totally agree with what Sander did, if you let people take the piss they will, so you have to set a president for yourself otherwise you'll end up playing these gigs for fuck all, if it's your job then even more so.

Would you not still go to your work place "just to check it out"? And on arrival tell your customers your doing fuck all because you not getting paid but then few days later write some half arsed apology saying you loved them while at the same time explain it was all about the DOSH!!!!

No offence Proudy it is not laughing matter at all. This country has backed a stack load of these Dutch Trance pricks at the start of their careers & once they get a bit big they either stop or rarely DJ in this country. Darren Tate even took this piss by calling himself JURGEN VIRES ffs becaue he knew he would shift more units. The nation needs to get back to backing BRITISH DJ's.

    I hear ya brother.

Look at Tiesto, . Gatecrasher gave him a platform & subsequently he snubbed the club in an Interview stating he'd never play for them again.

...I once helped carry his record boxes into Cuba Cuba which is now Krash where he played to about 80 people, shocking how ridiculously big a DJ can get & how attitudes change over the years.

tiesto's a wanker anyway, its just a case of how big heads can inflate, and how people's attitudes towards themselves change.

anyways - i would of been more bothered if sander was there and ottiavani didnt turn up tbh

I looked at him at the time & thought Ties..who:spangled: big lanky Dutchman playing to a half empty TD4 night at Cuba Cuba, at the time had only played Gatecrasher once.

He is now a multi-million pound brand name!

......(I wonder if he still remembers me?)
