To be fair he probably did them a favour by deciding not to play.

Tulip & Stone will have to have a stash of free entry tickets ready to dish out on the night if the numbers are looking bleak.

are we sure it wasn't just that the promoter didn't have the money to pay him if it was quiet, so he decided not to play?

there's usually more than one side to these kind of situations.

I cant imagine Goodgreef not paying Sander if the gig wasnt busy? GG have a good relationship with him. On that note there must be something else tbh, the line-up was rediculous last night for it to be dead:

    Ottaviani
    Sander Van Doorn
    Mark Norman
    Bryan Kearney
    Zany
    Proteus
    BK
    Barry Connell

Although I dont know what the scene is like round Cardiff...

Apparently the first one they did in Cardiff was quite dead as well.

Either way if he refused to play hes a cunt.

oh, didn't know it was goodgreef, not that that entirely eliminates the possibility - big promoters have been known to go tits up before... or just have cashflow issues, and that's a big line up to pay for if the place was empty.

it makes me laugh when people dont kno exactly what happened and start jumpin on the bandwagon saying 'so and so' is a cunt, not playing coz their was a small crowd etc

if he did do this then yeah he is a cunt but i cant see a professional dj not playin just coz there's a small crowd

he still gets paid to do it

I think there is deffo more than meets the eye with this story. I met Sander at Tall Trees last June, seemed canny enough and he always looks like hes really enjoys himself during his sets.
Personally i think his album is abit boring, but hes class live. Will have to wait see if SVD releases his side of the story.

Musicians acting like prima donnas is par for the course aint it.

I just hope the people who were annoyed by that, vote with their feet - and the promotors do the same next time they consider booking him.
