Theres rumours circulating today that Jonny Evans has done his hamstring in training and may miss this

Nothing yet confirmed from the club, really hope this isnt fucking true as could mean a return for one of the chuckle brothers at centre half

    Evans = :king:

    I went to Blaydon Races
Twas on the ninth of June
    Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Two
    On a summer's afternoon
I took the bus from Balmbras
    And she was heavy laden
Away we went along Collingwood Street
That's on the Road to Blaydon

Oh me lads, you should've seen us gannin
Passing the folks along the road
And all of them were starin'
All the lads and lasses there
    They all had smilin' faces
    Gannin along the Scotswood Road
    To see the Blaydon Races

    We flew past Armstrong's factory
And up by the Robin Adair
But gannin ower the Railway Bridge
The bus wheel flew off there
    The lasses lost their crinolenes
And veils that hide their faces
I got two black eyes and a broken nose
    In gannin to Blaydon Races

    Oh me lads...

Now when we got the wheel back on
    Away we went again
But them that had their noses broke
    They went back ower hyem
    Some went to the dispensary
    And some to Doctor Gibbses
    And some to the infirmary
    To mend their broken ribses

    Oh me lads...

We flew across the Tyne Bridge
    And came to Blaydon Toon
The barman he was calling then
    They called him Jackie Broon
I saw him talking to some chaps
    And them he was persuadin'
To gan and see Geordie Ridley's show
At the Mechanics' Hall in Blaydon

    Oh me lads...

Now when we got to Paradise
    There were bonny games begun
There were four and twenty on the bus
And how we danced and sung
They called on me to sing a song
So I sang 'em 'Paddy Fagan'
I danced a jig and I swung me twig
The day I went to Blaydon

    Oh me lads...

The rain it poured down all the day
And made the ground quite muddy
Coffee Johnny had a white hat on
    Shouted 'Wee stole the cuddy?'
There were spice stalls and monkey shows
    And old wives selling ciders
And the chap on the ha'penny roundabout
Saying 'Any more lads for riders?'

    Oh me lads... (to fade)

newcastle deserved that like going off the first half, i reckon we were stronger in the 2nd and commanded the game more.

paul mcshame for newcastles man of the match.

i was pissed off when i saw the starting line up and didnt see evans or bardsley, trust sunderlands two worst players to fuck up, i cant believe keane played mcshame hes fucking shite. worst defender in the premier.

differnt story if our two most reliable defenders were on from the start and chopra was on instead of murphy and keane should have played 4-4-2

oh well looks like we will have to regain some pride by thumping boro

Fair play to the mags, we were second best today like. I knew as soon as i saw the team that we would struggle, losing our 2 most influential defenders to training ground injuries and starting out as 4-5-1 formation, which Keane came out and said 3 weeks ago didnt suit us and wouldnt be used again this season... makes me wonder.

The first 45 mins was up there with Everton away as the worst we have played this year, the chuckle brothers (Mcshane & Higgy) making us look so uneasy at the back when we have looked solid all year since bringing in Evans and Bardo, and we offered little going forward when we did get the ball, giving it away cheaply far too often and only Andy Reid really getting into the game.

Murphy looked disinterested and should have came off at half time, Miller struggled to make any impact in his first start in 2 months and Carlos still doesnt look fit since coming back from injury. Deano battled well though his distribution let him down too many times today.

The second half was an improvement though despite having increased possession we struggled to create anything in the final third, with only Reid offering Jones any kind of support. How Chopra doesnt get more starts up front is beyond me, getting a few crucial goals for us recently despite being only used as a sub or a right winger. Kenwyne needs someone up there with him as we saw today, noone there to pick up anything he wins in the air or offer any support when hes in possession.

Not good enough at all overall, i dont think Newcastle played particuarly well though still made easy work of us today, and we need to pick ourselves up for a must win game against boro next week.

Also forgot to mention 1 significant point from today -

Paul Mcshane - you are a fucking disgrace to your profession, a shit excuse for a professional footballer. Fuck off in the summer to any other club that will take you and never pull on the red and white shirt again. Now fuck off. Cunt.

good too see us not conceed early in the 2nd half and go on to win fairly comfortably.

good performace from newcastle today allround esp at keeping the mackums down to only one real chance at scoring (the jones header and good harper save) i think enrique and geremie (player i do not like) didnt even do to badly today.

sunderland fans can least enjoy the fact that this will be a prem ficture next season aswell, as there is no danger of them going down despite todays results, adnt here dodgy looking run in.
