    Sorted, i've got all of that mIRC set-up and "registered" and followed all that jazz and set up another "#nucastle" channel.

    i'm game anytime so give me a shout on that. either or.

    small question - how do i change my keyboard settings, randomly " has changed to @ and # has changed to |

    I can't think of the route you take directly but you need to goto control panel then either regional settings, or keyboard.. you're aiming to chance the keyboard from US to UK. Any any other settings that aren't UK.

    right, a problem.

    mine LAGS like fuck - as MrB well knows because he booted me all over cos of it ;)

    any suggestions on how to rid the lag.

    i had:

    no downloads going
    no firewall blocking it
    no other programs toking my bandwidth.

    and it wasnt the server cos we tried a couple.

    Also, tried setting his netpeed to 20000 which didn't help. :(

    then a list should come up - look for #nucastle

    MistaK was warping all over the shop so there was defo some trouble with his internet. his ping didn't show signs of any problem though. About 80 (so probably about 110 irl).

    mIRC you connect to the server first.. u want irc.quakenet.org and the channel #nucastle - you can just type /join #nucastle in the chat box to save time.

    Or, u can use the built in irc in UT under the 'chat' tab. Useful cos if someone gives a server Ip you can click it and go straight there.

    server just times out. Same with the IRC in UT - just says server disconnected after about 30 seconds - yet i can all the game player servers lol.

    weird :s u could try a different server.. you can create a channel on most servers by just typing /join #whatever

    If you get that working, let us know in here and we can switch.
