Turdmania Urgent Help Needed

right, now thats done, it was showing me
pri master not det
pri slave CD rom
secondary master Hard drive
Sec slave not detected

now coming up with disk hardware config problem.

have you got both hard drives connected now or just the one?

you might have to go into the BIOS and set it to 'AUTO DETECT' the hard drive

just the one. Ill try autodetect

well its detected the hard drive it just needs to be pri master, and not secondary master.

did you have the hard drive the right way up when inserting the jumpers?

i can't see the pic, according to the detection your jumper is in the wrong place, its set to secondary master. take out the jumper altogether and try it then?

thats the advanced set up screen - go into the first, normal screen.

Make sure it's set to AUTO DETECT all the drives.

now none of them are found.

don't worry some hard drives don't support auto detect. its not a major issue.

no, I havent changed that, i took the pin out.

oh right must have to put it in, make sure the writing on the hard drive is facing upwards, and put the jumper in the far left ok?
