I used to travel away somewhere every weekend when I first started going out, but I hardly ever do these days. I think its just a combination of there being so many local nights on where my mates are playing at, and the fact Ive realized I cant stand travelling on minibuses. I'd prefer to stop over and get a hotel if I do travel anywhere now, which ends up costing a fair bit.

My main group of mates don't seem to be interested in travelling round. I'd love to get down to places like fabric and give them a whirl but it seems like I'm the only one who's interested.

Still, at least I'm not restricted to Consett, I might top myself

    RobBrown has the right attitude!

I've been clubbing by myself before in the past, but more as a challenge to myself as I am fairly introverted - didn't talk to anyone, but no big deal as I still enjoyed it for the music.

Last time I did that was ages back, Hernan Cattaneo at Digital.

Find I need strong substances and drink to be able to talk utter BS and engage with strangers if I am on my own. Pity I am so damn skint these days. :)

I'd be more than willing to travel to DS in September, but I think I need to find a new job before I can sustain another outing like that. :p

i'm in the same boat mate. all my pals worship at the church that is Deep in shitley bay. sickening man. find it verrrrry difficult (read: impossible) to attend credible house nites.

the best i can hope for is the big trance do's that roll in to town. got a few good 'fringe' mates who are bang in to the trance scene, so when am up for a 'proper' night out that's me lot!

I propose a match.com type clubbers 'hook up' service where strays can find clubbing mates to go out with.

only time ive been out by meself was one of the first Neurosciences, worked out alright because there was loads of people i knew there anyway. i wouldnt mind going to a trance night on my own like, guaranteed to bump into someone. Id be a bit more reluctant to do it for a different genre as i know less people from these nights....

you never really need to go clubbing on your own with these boards or facebook anyway, you can always find someone thats going.
