A dancefloor needs that "BIG" tune that every f uckwit knows & it raises the atmosphere & trance is lacking that at the mo.

I'll kind of give you that, but I've not heard Alt+F4.

White Room's top but how well know it is I don't know, it's been far too long since I went to proper trance nights regularly.

    Never herd of them

Are any of the major record labels hunting these tunes down?
Will they be used on Grandstand?
Will they be on every comp album going?

I have never herd of them, I aint a DJ but I would know the name of a big tune if there was 1 doing the rounds

Thing is people saying that trance is going nowhere etc etc... is it not just that your prefered styles are changing? because i still love trance more than ever and to be honest could go on and on naming loads of amazing tunes that do it for me.... and as people have said they are looking for new tunes or havent been to nights for ages, where as ive still been listening to stuff.

i know its all a matter of opinion but there really is some quaitly stuff out at the moment and even if the more known tunes are getting played by other djs i can say that i never hear them more than once in one night.

more quaility tunes...Activa feat Aled Mann - In Essence, Bossanova - Stonecold (Agnelli & Nelson Remix), John O'Callaghan - Mercury, Rush & Murray - Believe, Electrovoya - Effervesce, Robert Gitelman - Children Of The Sun

I cud go on and on.......Rant over!

same here!!!, imo trance never died just became more commercial!!!, alot of shit around these days, but if ya look hard enough u can still be ahead of the game!!! ;) takes time, buts it worth it!!!

I can see your point there, but what happened to the likes of ATRC they became huge, overplayed and before long everyone hated them and slagged them off. then you get Andain - Beautiful things. was much better quality, never reached the heights of motorcycle and is still loved now and got just as good if not a better reaction when played.

I'd rather have say 6-7 quailty tunes produced rather than one huge tune that every tom dick and harry will cain and end up overplaying and spoiling.....that might just be me tho.

I think it is good for trance to have a few tunes a year that go massive as it will/should bring new people in.

I think you make a good point and the rise of electro continues unabted aswell. There will always be a place for pure trance music, it just seems like it's on the back burner at the moment. Mix of tech-trance, prog, euphoric trance is the way to keep it alive.

There's a future for trance music.
