It's rarely justified but the big Market is known for its burberry and hula-hoop ear rings. I feel sorry for the pigeons that I see getting botted all over the shop by some skanky little rockports half the time i walk past.

A few new laws are needed imo. Anyone caught starting agro for no reason gets taken into the back of a van and stun gunned. These people dont seem to care about spending a night in a cell or getting a record. Most of them won't be able to get a decent job with or without a criminal record so why would they care.

I agree, if you go the bigg market you have to expect trouble, I've been up here 4 years now and I've never been in any trouble, reason I've never been to the bigg market drinking.

I reckon if I'd been to the bigg market every week for the four years i'd been here I would bet I would have been in some kind of trouble at least 50% of the time.

I think it's true in some respects, if you don't want to be in any bother, dont goto places that are known to have rough people looning around. However, the majority of people, including myself don't go out and plan their night around keeping out of bother. We go where we want to go and simply don't expect to be caught up in any bother since we don't usually get caught up in any. Advice for keeping out of trouble full stop isn't to goto certain places its to stay in your house. Shit happens because of shit people and they can appear anywhere whether it be in a club down the big market or walking past a few people who maybe got rejected from appartment. Wrong place at the wrong time is all it comes down to.

I agree, some people just go out looking to start trouble, thats their idea of a night out! Also its to do with the clientelle of the Bigg Market, its renowned as the trouble hotspot. Crawling with Police!

Im not saying trouble doesnt happen elsewhere, because it does, its just the Bigg Market has that reputation, and crowd.

As for those who think that trouble is only to be found in certain areas.. thats simply not true.

Trouble can spark at any minute and any place, regardless of the sophistication of the company surrounding you.. its the upsetting state this country has grown into.

I've been in situations similar to this which could have potentially put me in hospital.. the best advice I can give is to hold your head high.. you obviously have a good set of mates who sorted the situation out at a later point!

It doesnt matter where you are, it only takes 1 to start a fight, even if your in the gate, down the bigg market, or down the quayside. Ive been down the bigg market many of times, just because the kind of clientelle the bigg market bars have doesnt mean that there trouble making scumbags. Ive bumped into charvers before in Liquid etc, and theyve apologised and ive done the same, So stop jumping the Gun saying "oooo Bigg market, dont wanna be going down there like" just coz its not your scene.
