Personally I think that trance productions have never been better even some of the old 'harder' music producers such as Signum and Pale X are producing really good stuff at the moment. Most of the trance veterains(spelling) are still going and trance music is changing for the better with producers adding different types of breaks etc to choons that have never been done before. The only downside to trance music at the mo is when shitty producers like Flip and Fill, Scooter etc are ripping old classic choons and callling this shit trance.
Trance is king and will live forever:king: :king: :king:

Trance crowds are down because all trance fans became DJs,producers or promoters or a combination out of the 3

Bedroom wannabe djs who THINK they can do better do the scene no favours, they may well be all enthusastic and spend their whole life savings on their precious vinyl but these kind of people just can't face facts.

They're no better than big bob the mobile disco and that's if they're really really lucky to get a break and a pub takes them on for the night as a one off, and then they'll be there 1, 2 even 3 years down the line, they don't progress any further than that.

These djs are trying ever so hard not to go down that route and just not progressing anywhere but always latching onto the hope they'll get that 'lucky break'. Sorry, but it's never going to happen.

Going out is all about having fun, yet it's these wannabes who are extremely cynical and spoil nights out, if they're not ripping into a dj for his tune selection or his style, it's his hiccups on the night they're there (yes when they actually do clubbing).

They should just face facts, you have to have talent, know people in the business AND get that lucky break, most of them have none of the 3 and no hope whatsoever. But no, continue to do your weekly mix dj, it's become the stylish version of a star trek fanatic.

    Trance is not dead...

Too many big name DJ's play big obvious commercially slanted records. If you keep saturating the public with mainstream tracks, the scene looses its underground feel, changing instead into a corporate money engine. When you keep hearing low quality dross, it’s little wonder the general clubbing populous consider trance a stagnating genre.

Do you really want your mum ironing to some cheesy trance track that you were going mental to the night before? Do you want to be associated to that sound and scene? The key word here is perception. Is it still perceived as being cool to like trance? Personally I don’t really give a fuck what anyone else thinks.

The trend junkies and bandwagon jumpers will cross styles and proclaim each new fad as the 'next big thing' without even really being part of that vibe. A month later they will move to the next bright new shiny thing. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Oh dear, how sad to be a mindless drone; I'm so glad I know what I like.

ROFFLE:lol:, thats only cos u ve heard it over and over again that it seems cheesey (why do people do this?) back then u were loving it as much as you do the stuff coming out now (although u ll deny it), then in 2/3 years time all this years productions will seem cheesey...

To me cheesey and dated are too very different things.
