great place for a stag do. if you can find the Kings Arms just by the river it is a great starting point. it is like a little cavern built into the riverbank.

it is also a sam smith pub so you get pints of prinz (7%ish lager) for about 1.70 or a normal pint for less.

the clubs a fairly shit in york though.

watch out for the traffic though, we nearly had some nasty accidents hearding 15 drunken idiots from pub to pub.

friday - work, then off to darlo to stay at stus

saturday - going down to milton kene's (sp)

sunday - dinner!!! lots of sleep then starting a huge assignment thats due in on tuesday :cry2:

The Evil Eye on Stonegate (its a realy cool pub which was Jonny Depps fav haunt while shooting for Willy Wonka!!) you have to look out for it as its well hidden!

All those bars are in a little alcove down by the city screen cinema near the river.

it is part of a health food store and they serve loads of dodgy looking cocktails made up by tree-hugging crusty student types. one floor is also an internet cafe if i remember right!

i would steer any stag do well clear of that place!

bar 38, orgasmic etc.. are all cool though.

i would say during the day you want to be in what i would call the traditional 'pubs' like the kings arms as opposed to bars, then later on head into the bars like bar 38 etc.
