i am guilty of posting a thread in the whats on section. however as nana sleepy is my witness, i hadn't realised it was on the same night as the promise gig at ikon. once i realised i pm'ed nana sleepy to have the thread removed.

not everyone is out to intentionally screw you over mark.

you don't know how the night is funded and techno has been played before on that system, and it sounded fine, and i'm sure it will again.

there are the people who genuinally post without realising (like confuzzled) then he asked for it to be deleted. genuine mistakes are cool

however, there were not only people posting blatant adverts for this one particular rival night....but they were also trying to be sneaky and sly about it and mention it at every given opportunity!

say what you like, call me whatever, i couldnt give a damn at the end of the day - people need to realise mark is doing them a FAVOUR on the whole by letting them post adverts for ANY nights at all.

he doesnt have to. so when threads are deleted...they are deleted for a reason. deal with it people and dont whinge!

not to nit pick, but currently there is a thread advertising the green festival in whats on. which is not only in newcastle, but is also free. surely this is a bigger rival to promise than the night on at trees?

if your gonna have a rule, it needs to be enforced universally or not at all, otherwise it simply looks like a case of sour grapes in my opinion.
