I have nothing but respect for the Armed Forces, hopefully more people will stand up for them.

Its a farce how they were allowed to protest anyway, I see the troops that marched yesterday will be marching through the town again because of that.

Freedom of speach is freedom of speach, if you get what I mean, the police couldn't do anything, the army couldn't do anything but thankfully the normal people watching it did something.

the level of racist hatred on youtube is truly frightening. There were about 10 of them is all. I don't think they should have abused the troops that way but I'm sure the soldiers can handle a bit of abuse without cracking up.

They deserved every bit of hatred they got towards them. Joe Public & friends/family of the troops that were there were obviously going to react that way. Worrying everyday about that phonecall that may come to let them know there loved ones will never be coming back, when they do come back they are greeted by that on the streets of their own country, fuck off man. The police should of quickly nipped it in the bud if there was only '10' off them there & moved them on, its a disgrace & unacceptable in my opinion, the troops are heroes & dont deserve to be welcomed like that.
Of course they can take it on the chin, I think they'll be used to alot more abuse than a minority of idiots informing them they will go to hell but its not the point. They shouldn't of been there in the first place.

the point about our way of life being better than say Sadaam Hussains is that we tolerate peaceful protest and minority groups. If we give way to mob rule we've lost what we're supposed to be protecting. The protest was peaceful and therefore legal.
Nobody doubts the bravery of our troops and it's unfair to target them like that but lets not get things out of proportion.
Believing that the UK used it's troops to commit an illegal war is a perfectly valid viewpoint. The protests should be aimed at the government not the soldiers themselves who can't avoid being sent out there.
