and that was when the Morris dancers came in

and the trouble was caused wait for it by someone who goes to promise, wears nice clothes and usually never goes to the fidla, the very same person who said the same night "you know who you look like mate "
and I said who? and he says "MARK deakin"

could have knocked me over with a feather!

the white sticky stuff normally does the trick tho, that or pints of beer!!!

its a bit worrying when people who you dont think you know come out the unin and say your name, actually make that very worrying!!!

the fidla with the right crowd in and the right music is one of the best atmospheres I have experienced.

However, too many nights , run too frequently will kill a venue.

    This was said last year.

I love the fact that the borg lookalikes in the fiddla may deter those that are just out for posing

spence if you got out half as much as you say you do ,you would see how many people some of these gigs get in.

I dont run any of them so dont have a vested interest to say this but resistance regularly has about 40 -50 in , vibration at xmas was packed (must have had about 50-60) and influence does similar trade.

this is as opposed to some other well known local gigs that "are on the verge of being the NEXT big thing" , get big upped to the max on here every day and really only get 20 peeps in

As i know you are only fishing I will forgive you, LASER BOY

but I think you should try running something sometime soon and get a full appreciation of the work that goes in.

PS wheres the fat lads cd , by the way the recent photos I seen of you you look fatter than the fat lad foster!

    very good point:cool2:

the first thing i said to gareth and allie when I first played there was "this is a wicked venue" if they could get a late licence for down there it would be top notch;)

in fact i'd go as far as to say i'd rather see any top dj spin in a venue like that than a big superclub, for me thats why ward10 is wicked;)

Comedy John's too fucking lazy and stupid to organise them. The sooner he kicks the bucket with an alcohol-induced heart attack the better. :D

Katie you're an ignorant (unt, even more so than this thread makes me appear.

I've had a good night in there when mack and a few others were on for Resistance, but the crowd was totally different.. I've only been in there a couple of times but it looks totally dingy downstairs. I wish resistance could get a better venue, whatever was on on Friday wasn't my thing though

    220 bpm
