We've had 3 stress related deaths in 2 years in our department at uni. My tutor even got forced to take a 4 month break

I've been quite lucky got a temp job as a communications officer not long after finishing uni which I hated but piad for ibiza.

Was only there for a few weeks before I managed to get a job in consumer marketing, which is what I've got a degree in. Was really lucky as there arnt many marketing opportunities around in Newcastle

My work is full of Jocks or Jockroaches as were known.

Been loads of opportunies though.

I worked in Cambridge, London and Newcastle and my highest salary and shortest time to find an IT job was in the North East

I work in a jobsearch club and theres plenty of jobs in the north east, like someone said previously though a lot of people will apply for any kind of job. All you can do is make sure your cv and covering letter or application form is shit hot, get help with it if you can.

Im sorry but that just isnt true, you must have just been on a shit wage to start with in Cambridge and London.

The fact is they pay a LOT more down south for IT jobs.

As an example, im currently trying to get some contractors in up here to work on a project but because of the shitty rates we can offer in the north-east, its near enough impossible to get anyone decent!

Its a shit market up here, sad but true.

I was on 24 in cambridge and 30 in london and still maanged to beat that up here, The simple fact is if you have a decent level of knowledge you can get a well paid job ANYWHERE fact

No they are proud that i have made something of myself and can buy them holidays etc etc for there birthday presents, I have nothing to be ashamed of being successful so nothing you can say can bring me down
