    Haven't been since we went to see the Armin 3 hour set....think it was probably about 6 months ago. I do like the venue, the main problem I've found on my last few visits is that they don't get a large enough crowd anymore.....no doubt due, in part, to the popularity of Promise. Unfortunately, the north east has never had a big enough clubbing style crowd to be able to fully support more than one decent night at a time.

    You're correct, as we would all expect :p What I meant to say that the north east has never really been able to support two good nights that play similar types of music.

    Perhaps that's the reason why The Empire now seem to book a lot of funky types...and Tall Trees...well, they seem to be booking all styles to try and regain the huge crowds of old.

    anyone remember the "one for the people" events at tall trees when it was just macmillans?? vauge memories but i know oakey played it regulary!!

    empire or should i say sugarshack, before the dj box moved used to b absolutley mint it reeli was i cant believe its the same club now the crowd, atmosphere, music n line-ups hav gone rite down the pan but it seriously used to be unbelievable i've had some of ma bestest eva clubbin nites there, god knows whats gone wrong like!!
    and although there may not be many good things about boro itself theres sum luvli places nearby....guisborough pour example!! :) :) xxxx
