i have no major complaints as far as clubbing goes this year. the list of DJs i have seen in newcastle this year is immense.

things like Beat Therapy, Nuero, Transfusion, Warp and Elements hve been good for the local DJs (speaking from a trance point of view)

but i still feel like newcastle is missing that other club, to rival digital for the massive name bookings, maybe legends, maybe the acedemy?

I'm genuinely sorry if the amount of facebook spamming i do is causing anybody any real irritation, but if I'm honest I've always regarded sending out too many messages as being akin to handing out too many flyers or putting up too many posters ie impossible.

I personally don't have a great deal of respect for facebook other than as a medium for insulting my friends and advertising events, but I do appreciate it could become counter productive to annoy people too much as at some point it may put them off from coming to the events I'm advertising.

The Magda thing is unfortunate as I've ended up setting up 2 events for it due to a cock up, so essentially you get twice as much spam i suppose.

I will say that the thing a lot of the more clued up clubbers on forums etc fail to realise is that the majority of the general public don't have as much knowledge of upcoming events and often need a lot more re-inforcement of dates etc before it actually sticks with them.

Facebook can be a pain in the arse like but I just remove myself from said groups or events if they get too much. I honestly must've received at least 50 message about GG's birthday on Saturday!!

As for Newcastle's scene I'd say it's done pretty fucking great taking everything into consideration, probably haven't been out as much for years. Do agree about the serious need for another decent, large-ish venue to rival Digital. After Digweed at Legends on Saturday I'd love for someone rich as fuck to buy it and do the necessary upgrades/work as it's a cracking venue/layout/space!!

I'd have to say that this year the nights I've enjoyed most have been outside of Newcastle, but I think thats only because I've got to the point where I want to try out other nights/venues around the country

Neuro is by far the best night in my opinion, only night I will go out of my way to go to every month

    clubs are poo.
too much health and safety, too much control, too much alcohol, not enough freedom.
    in my humble opinion
my best this year was on a farm and even with legals it was top fun. and the tyne tees detox.

There are no "nightclubs" in newcastle its never been the same since foundation closed.

todays youth prefer scripted 'nights out' in well lit swarve venues for no other reason than to pose for facebook snaps pretending to be having the coolest time ever

dark clubs with underground music filled with absolute clips and sweaty bird girls are a thing of history and its a dam shame
