The May "no drinking" challenge

Ive been off the drink for 1 1/2 month now (im on tablets) ive lost weight n feel soooooooooooooo much better for it

why would you ever want to give up the drink?

i'd sooner give up eating.

i could really easily give up drinking, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, i can take my car and still have a good night.

hard work on a bank holiday tho...... trust me ive done it for the past two :spangled:

lol, i could still do it without any problem or temptation, don't get me wrong i like to have a drink, but it's not something that i have to have and i can easily go without.

yeah i get ya, i was dying for one last night, but i felt mint this morning knowing i had been out and enjoyed meself and could actually move my head without it feeling like a bomb had went off

Last time I tried to give up drink I failed miserably.. Met up with a few friends, walked for 20 minutes to the pub, all of the way I intended to stick to fresh orange or pepsi or something, we walked into the pub and up to the bar and I asked for a double vodka and lemonade, it just sort of came out.

im determined to do this like.
gonna not drink til may 28th for van dyk then from the 30th of may til the 25th of july.

hopefully ill do it, need to stop drinking beer in stupid amounts

It seems we are always having heavy nights Trying to give it up cos of the exams which will be over on the 22nd of June! I will obviously be having a few nights out during that time but nothing toooo wild! After my exams I fear for my own life but thats then.

I hope some of you 'quitters' will be turning out for Micky Coo's (play's) birthday on saturday. esp katie & purvy.

im the same as you Katie, i have exams from the 15th til 30th of May so between now and then im not having hardly anything when i go out.

probs will be out for askew but ill not be drinking.
