Forget about the Killers, Dirty Pretty Things on sale Friday!! Ruth - I'm ashamed to admit that I've bought tickets to flog on ebay... ...it was Take That though so not sure it counts
I saw dirty pretty things at leeds fucking awesome so u r the reason i missed out on Take That....Damm you git
I would have sold them to you if you'd come up with the required bunce Well tempted by DPT but have been absolutley rinsed with so many gigs already this term - Babyshambles, Primal Scream, Muse, Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian. Chuck in an England game in Manchester, the fact it's my last year of Uni so I've got to do some work and it ain't looking pretty
i was going to take Amy for her birthday but was not paying ebay proces for take that  do it...i've already seen ashcroft but might b seeing him again... me & m mate were working out how much we've spent on tix for gigs/festivals so far this year..tis easily over £350..i have my tix for muse & kasabian too u'll regret it if u don't...trust me
I feel suitably guilty now I know I will but I've done well so far at Uni money-wise - don't really want to throw it away in the last year! It's also a matter of finding mates to go with as they tend to be skint or into the sort of gash (student nights) I'd prefer to avoid. Given that £350 + what's your highlight of the year then?
theres been shit loads... kubb editors placebo gemma hayes richard ashcroft ocean colourscene keiser chiefs muse arctic monkeys the streets dirty pretty things the automatic panic! at the disco fall out boy franz ferdinand primal scream feeder that's most of the bands i've seen this year... if i had to i could pick 5... muse ashcroft placebo feeder editors
It's been worthwhile then yeah?!?! More to point how the fuck did you manage to see all that (plus more presumably) for £350+?!?!?! Think I've shredded about 150 notes on the above 5 gigs plus Oasis alone Arctic Monkeys should be touring again around Christmas so hopefully catch them then along with the new album. Should be a good few months
i seen loads of bands on the sat & sun at leeds.. i also saw: fightstar dashboard confessional the subways belle & sebastian yeah yeah yeah's wolfmother the cribs at leeds... also saw storey one who supported kubb...forgots who supported ashcroft n editors... i've saw some awesome bands over the years tho
Proper 'During the War...' comment that Your sig made me chuckle aswell - my dad came back from work the other day telling me he'd listened to the entire Above & Beyond album on the way home and "quite enjoyed it, I was bopping along in the car." I spent the rest of the day having this mental image of my day throwing shapes whilst sat in a traffic jam!!
innit...went to a few gigs before 2001 but since then i've been to loads it's my fav past time... i've seen Q.O.T.S.A & the cooper temple clause in the same night (leeds last year) if you saw him...straight laced wears a suit for work n all that... he has more cd;s than i do & some of them strange for a dad...i.e. green day, R.H.C.P., foo fighters, fat boy slim, editors... he even asked what orson were like
Sounds like a top bloke - he's not tryed tagging along to any of the gigs then?!?! Might be a step too far that.... Blatently loves the air guitar
Ruth- don't worry- my Dad loves Doves, Faithless, Kasabian, Editors, Starsailor, Underworld etc, and he's 50 I love it
he's ok...great to borrow cd's off nah, he used to go to gigs years ago but doesn't seem to want to any more old age & being grumpy i think stops him these days he's more of a use your hands & pens for drum beats kinda bloke.. altho i reckon he does air guitar in secret
back in the day that would've been a good idea but he doesn't drinkany more cup of tea is more to his taste
My pooter is being really gay & can't even find ticketmaster's website...so can someone please tell me the booking line number please and thanks
