i was just stating a fact - it was your paranoid minds that suddenly made it into a CONSPIRACY THEORY

here's another - Roads wear tyres. Kwikfit sell tyres. the goverment build roads. THE GOVERMENTS IS PULLING THE PUPPET STRINGS OF THE KWIKFIT MANAGEMENT.

u can make conspiracies out of anything, if u want to see them. i never said that lockerbie bombing was a conspiracy, just stating a coincidental fact that people will read what they want into it. (p.s. i know why it was reinforced ;) )

You have a point but you could spin it on its head and say people find deep comfort in believing in something (the system) they've been fed from the day they were born. That is the simple and easier option. Stepping out of the bubble scares people. As soon as you question anyone that firmly believes in the system or any religion they become ignorant and defensive towards whatever oppososes there beliefs.

If someone was to appear with proof/facts of world events that went against the whole system, sadly, out of fear, the majority of people would still pass it off as complete bullshit.

Sounds like MOS totally caved in to the argument there like. and brid pulling 'cognitive dissonance' out of the vocabulary hat early on really took me by surprise

Apart from that there is far too much evidence to stack on top of the US admin for it not to be true in my opinion. and also - even if this is by part a deed of the illuminati (if indeed it exists), which contains many powerful people and heads of state, media and the like (Supposedly), this information would obviously be censored from the public eyes, and be made to look like BS when small leaks come out? at least that's what's been happening so far.

it's all about control and cash at the end of the day.

Outer Heaven and complete data control is nigh.

I'm sure that there are some people who need to believe in the system but I'm not one of them. I think the world is run by the rich and powerful for their own benefit and that the law exists to protect the rich from the poor. that corruption is everywhere, from your local nick to the US government. That wars are started for material gain by powerful people and that poor saps are persuaded to join armies and fight for these people.

What I don't believe is that the twin towers were blown up by a shadowy organisation made up of superhuman individuals with the foresight and acumen to carry off complex conspiracies without leaving a trace, that the perceived benefits to these people was worth taking such a risk. Why bother? what do they gain?

Do they all agree with each other that blowing up the towers was the only way to get what they want? which is what? what benefit did they get?

How do you get to join? if you are asked if you want to join in the conspiracy to murder several thousand of your own citizens for some more control over the planet and refuse do you keep quiet about it? presumably you will be rich and powerful yourself or why ask you? has no one who was asked to join this Illuminati ever refused? It is all just so unlikely.

The 'evidence' as presented to us such as the melting point of steel is shit. Steel doesn't have to melt to fail under load it just has to get hot enough to bend. Anyone who has ever worked a forge could tell you that. Get a grip

Leading in from what you said, there was a hit piece on 'conspiracy theories' last night on the BBC about the 7/7 bombings that made me feel sick after watching it.

I think the problem with alot of these discussions or 'debunkings' is that they take an 'idea' from any one of the alternative theories and then provide what they think or IS evidence to say 'hey thats not right' - This is then extrapolated and forms the basis for this amazing conclusion that because someone took a fraction of an overall set of ideas or questions that havent been answered and then proved it wrong .... then the 'conspiracy theory' is a load of rubbish.

With the 7/7 one they took aspects of the ripple effect film that were more about personal ideas than cold hard facts, and then presented THOSE to the viewer instead of other details that made compelling evidence of questions that havent been answered. Then they took the people behind these ideas and did everything they could to make them seem like complete crack pots.

At the end of the show they did all they could to basically say that conspiracy theories are being dreamed up and perpetuated by EXTREMISTS and that this basically amounted to terrorism. They told the viewer that in a mosque this saturday that there was going to be people assembling to discuss and share their thoughts on these alternative viewpoints. It was like an invitation to turn anger on people like this.

There is no doubt in my mind that many dumb, deluded people are suckered into 'conspiracy theories' as a way to draw themselves away from a world that might have rejected them, or that they have rejected. The tall tales that people dream up make more interesting reading sometimes than any book or hollywood film - ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT.....

... BUT ... and this is the crucial bit, is that these nutters are used as the basis for disregarding any fragment or evidence that there could be more to a story than meets the eye. These 'theories' are a lot of ideas being thrown about. Some of them are crazy, and some of them definately ARENT. We shouldnt let one piece of evidence being proven as silly mean that everything else is also.

Remember, there are hundreds of millions of people in this world that think 2009 years ago that gods son was born, performed all these miracles, then was killed and brought back to life and then went up into heaven. Not only that, hundreds of millions of other people think that this wasnt the case and that THEIR story of a magical bunch of people is the right one, and ANOTHER bunch of people think both these stories are bullshit and that the one they believe in is right. etc etc etc.

Not only that, these people with these wierd beliefs gather in special buildings each week and do all these funny rituals and start wars with each other! The worse bit is that all these people base their belief on some really badly thought out evidence and documents produced by people who were unconnected with the actual events or people involved! Nutters!

did anyone watch the "7/7 Conspiracy" program on BBC last night? they brought up some very plasuible facts and figures into what they think ACTUALLY happened and blamed the goverment for the actual bombings, a film called "7/7 Ripple effect"

However, each and every 'theory' the film put forward was debunked with evidence and little bit of detective work. It comes back to the theory that people see what they want to see. it's like the film 'JFK' by Oliver Stone - americans now believe that this film was based on TRUTH - it wasn't!!!!

But some people STILL believe this ripple effect film to be 100% true and there's even a gathering at the central birmingham mosque this weekend wanting answers from the goverment that are posed in this film - even though they've already been disproven. People believing what they want to believe.

I saw ripple effect about 9 months ago ... and this TV show cherry picked some of the worst 'ideas' that the film put foward, and debunked them (Very badly). As i said, it then painted the people believing in the stories as either crackpots or 'extremists' and went as far as giving the nudge for people to come down hard on this meeting on saturday.

It was just classic Strawman argument tactics, where the alternative viewpoint is projected onto something laughable or extreme, and then THAT is brought down easily, along with any credibility or sense that the argument had.

It was typical BBC indoctrination in the guise of a 'documentary'. A Mainstream media television telling you what the government wants you to believe - Who would have thought it! ;)

The sickening part of the whole thing, is that the 'truth movement' is now being pushed as being as bad as terrorism itself. I wouldnt give it long before the mere mention of anything that questions the official story is met with anger, violence and persecution.

 i KNEW someone would come and slag the BBC for bias!

Admittedly yes, some parts did seem to demonise them a little bit but still - can they not see the trouble they are stirring up? interviewing that radio bloke at the end, he basically said "oh, i know he's a nutter and most of the therories have been debunked but we're going ahead anyway" - it's hyprocritical atleast to push forward ideas as truth u know as being wrong - isn't that what you're accusing the goverment of?

It's not that there aren't conspiracies or that governments often keep the truth from their citizens. We all know thats true.
Do you honestly believe the Labour government and the ministry of defence or the secret service and the police are so clever and efficient they could do 7/7 and nobody would know?
When in every other aspect of what they do they are almost laughably inefficient incompetent and useless.
None of us can know the whole truth about what our government gets up too but on the balance of possibilities was it a bunch of disaffected extremists or a sophisticated government plot? If the latter surely we would have had more by now to get even more surveillance and civil rights taken away from us.
If I were MI5 i'd be blowing up nightclubs by now. helps the conspiracy and gets rid of a load of pill munching malcontents in one go

BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT. PEOPLE DIED ON THAT DAY AND ITS SICK TO EVEN QUESTION WHAT WE SAY BECAUSE THATS DISRESPECTING THE DEAD. GET ANGRY WITH CONSPIRACY THEORISTS - THEY ARE INHUMAN WIERDOS!!!! Conspiracy theories are good, they let people think and express their feelings. it's when these stories that are based on false information presented as THE TRUTH gain momentum, that cause much deeper social problems.

It doesnt HAVE to be about taking things to the extreme where you ask 'oh so you think MI5 planned this?'. Its like trying to open floodgates in one go and letting yourself get swept away with them instantly..... nobody is going to accept that.

Some of the strangest things about these events are the ones that documentaries like these fail to go over. Theres dozens of things that even just looked at by themselves are opening cans of worms that could end up being massive.... but could also just end in conclusions that dont say that some global cabal was planning the whole thing, but instead end up being dirty little facets of a story that could end up being a thorn in the side of a government trying to keep everyone singing from the same song sheet.
