It would take me less than 10 mins to get ahold of that, no problem. Not that thats a good thing of course.

IF it does work it will create black holes but the general consensus is that they will be so small they will not be able to sustain themselves therefore will fizzle away (proper scientific term) and die. If thats the case then they won't pose any threat to us or the planet. However, because its never been done before, they dont know for sure.

Now to me that means that its a possibility that it will destroy all life on this planet. Now no matter how minute that possibility is, i dont think it should be done. After all, if it was so fuckin safe, why has it been built so far underground?

At least we will have a fair bit of warning tho, they reckon it would take about 4 weeks after the first collision before we see things like crazy whirlpools in oceans etc.

One scary thing is tho that the mian calender ends on 21st December 2012. Could this be the beginning of the end? At least we'll get to host the olympics first tho eh? :D

This has got to be my favourite thread for months :) It goes from high flown philosophical musings to poke your bum hole. classic.
my fav quote about this is that the scientists at CERN are like a bunch of monkeys who have managed to get the top off a fuse box and are just about to stick a screwdriver in to see what happens.....
