Sunderland where terrible in the 1st half and did not deserve to score two goals they looked better in the 2nd half but make no mistake it was a fir result and the better side won.. Looking at the sunderland team they can only score fluke long range efforts like that they are defo going down, as for newcastle we looked miles better woth creative players on the pitch like Emre and nobby and Ameobi was shite
I think you's could have shaded the 2nd half to be fair - al give u that one I think the chances we had 2nd though, and the non-giving of the penalties were damn harsh!! Still tho - cracking result and very much needed for you lads We just needc to make sure the heads dont drop cos the last 2 performances - actually most performances this season - have proved we can hack it. I never thought i'd see the day when id thouroughly enjoy a Sunderland game but i did. Both sides can take loads out of this game as you both played some really good football, If you both showed half as much passion in every game as you did yesterday neither of you would be struggling this season its a shame you've both only shown it in a derby game. shola could've scored against most teams playin the way he did yesterday, he came deep loads and collected the ball, distributed it well for a change and got himslef straight in the box challengin for every ball - all round good performance. i think the mackems played well, won't go down if they play like that week in week out, got a good team spirit which is half the battle for the teams near the bottom i think sayin you should've had 2 pens is off the mark tho, you're lad ran into n'zogbia and he's knocked the ball miles infront of him so want even in control of the ball (although i've seen them given many a time!!) and i dont know where you had an appeal for a 2nd pen :spangled: cant remember lol i think you's were just as lucky as we were, few people sayin you's were unlucky cos you hit the bar n had the better of the game etc etc. but to be fair, you's wont score 2 goals like that in one game again this season so you were lucky/we were unlucky for those 2 goals. and yea you maybe had the better of the game in parts, but you's done nout with the possession you had so cant say you deserved to score really? crackin game though, haven't had a great deal of luck so far this season n thankfully we got a little bit and won. hopefully get luque back and see what he can do, solano when he's fit will be class again emre...dont really need to say much about him everyone already knows he's immense. lookin forward to the next derby

The game was quality ! Atmosphere was amazing ! sunderland played well but our quality showed would have been disapointed if we had drawn but to be fair they could have snatched it secon half first half tho we should have been further ahead we dominated they had two shots and score two great goals . Sunderland need to sort out there defence and keeper every time the ball went in the box the flapped sholas second was nowt more than a hooked cross in and nobody attacked the ball apart from hoakey koakey . Great game ! We won am happy!
Spot on Sunderland only scored twice though goals you cant expect to win week in week out, We dominated the first half and should of gone in 2-0 but those goals gave sunderland hope and spured them on in the 2nd half... as for both penalty decisions neither was clean cut. Sunderland WILL go down for 2 reasons, 1) terrible keeper and defence, cant handle crosses at all and no potency up frount, aprt for the 2 long range efforts and the elliot lob Given was not really troubled that much so if the two wonder goals had gone over or were saved as they would the majoriy of the time then you would not have been in the game at all, and we looked like scoring throuout the whole game with Nobby and charlie bangining in the crosses and Emre always looking dangerous
Oh and the Legend that is Steven Taylor nearly put one in for 4-2 which in my opionon woul dof been a fairer result
