    Exactly

all that seems to be happening as far as I can see is a repeat of the move from Prog to Trance but with a different genre

I can understand why the trance lovers are pissed off about the closure but Im sure there are people out there who are willing to take over the reigns and do another trance night

True. It's the end of an era for a lot of people but, atleast plans are apparently on the go for something new.

I have got respect for it .. Anthony Pappa , JZ .. etc etc .. it has brought a lot of big named djs to Newcastle which cements Newcastle on that clubbing map and also Mark has got the respect for doing this , providing the demand for the styles .. good things always come to an end though , it might be the end of the name but it will live on ..

Yeah, back in the early days with Parks & Wilson, Sasha, Dave Seaman, were great days.

At no stage have I bad-mouthed Promise in any of these posts.

    Still tho, 'reel 'em in'!

Agreed...but I don't understand why there's such an US vs THEM attitude with people on the Promise board towards the NECL board.

The NECL board was started for ANYONE involved in dance music or clubbing in the North East certain people were getting banned from the Promise board for talking about non-Promise and non-Trance subjects.
