I'm not exactly sure what 'Reel em in' means, whether it's an insult or if James was just saying to reel in the 'cocks on this board' but your reaction was a bit harsh wasn't it Joe?

As far as I know James hasn't been slagging Promise off, but maybe you and him have a bit of a beef with each other already.

Either way, despite what you might think of his label, Climax Recordings has put out some absolutely quality tunes in recent years, had tracks included on Steve Lawler and Seb Fontaine CDcomps and generally been flying the flag for a lot of great new music from the North East and the rest of the world.

I haven't been to Promise myself for a long time but I still find it sad to hear that it's ending. However, Mark Deakin is still involved with the club so although the name of the night will change and the music policy might too it's not the end of the world and will hopefully just come back stronger, with the same crowd as before.
