mine were the ones you could sleep in, not too sure how many days there were supposed to be in for tho... this was like 5/6 years ago tho so they're probs better now?

at the time the guy who did the pre-op for the laser said the ones i used were not really that safe (like all the overnight ones at the time), and he would only prescribe them to those who needed to just get up and go (Dr's, firemen, police etc).

i got an infection which the eyes couldn't combat propely as there was this big contact lense in the way... or so i was told!

I spent about £170 on two pairs the last time. Before that I was wearing contact lenses for about 2 years, until one broke in two and got stuck under my eyelid and I had to go to hospital cos I couldn't get it out myself. My eyeball was scratched to bits and I had to put antibiotic ointment in for about 2 weeks.

I've always had a lazy eye and the doctors thought operating on it when I was about 7 would fix it but it didn't work at all, all it did was make me nearly die when I had a severe allergic reaction the the aneasthetic. Ever since then the vision in both eyes has steadily got worse.

If I lost my lazy eye I'd hardly notice the difference. I was tempted to go for laser surgery on my better eye but my doctor told me it's not worth risking my good eye and possibly ending up almost totally blind. The eye doctor at the hospital told me pretty much the same about wearing contacts again

You don't really need to have glasses fitted. The main measurements are the bridge and the pupillary distance. Obviously bigger noses need bigger bridges, and vice versa, but pupillary distance (the distance between your pupils) is generaly 63mm for everyone. The arms can be bent/adjusted to fit round your ears.
