if you get the required point on monday i'm hoping you take your eye off the ball and that we get at least a point off you next saturday. after swansea's loss and the pools return to form 5th or 6th place has out name on it.
Yeah mate, I've only missed a couple this season. Wish I'd extended my Easter break to the Wednesday now, but it's nothing a cheeky sick day can't solve. QPR sounds good like. Just seeing us lift that cup will be like the emotions of the Intertoto all over again...
Made a cheesy youtube film: [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm4H4955gwk"]YouTube- Newcastle United - Coca Cola Championship 2009 In Pictures[/nomedia]
"Were aiming for a 10th place finish this season after the brilliant win at Spurs" Skies the limit eh lads....
Must be a fucking nightmare supporting 3 teams a season & not seeing a single 1 win fuck all HAHAHAHA
Cant wait for tomorrow now man. On the other hand I bet the Mackums cant wait for that 10th spot either, great year for North East football all round...
1st time in 45 years we gain promotio at home. The scum must have dont it about 3 times in last 10 years with them being a yo-yo club. Do you reckon Brucie is the man to take SAFC above there best ever PL finish of 7th (TWO TIMES)?
"Found there level" such a run of the mill pharse which I would accept if we were mid table or bottom half but we are 1st have been for most of the season, so they slightly better than finding there level. Remember the top end of the CCC has been really good this year with the clubs at the top being there for most of the season no club has been swan up from the bottom at ease as happened few years back. FACT: We wont be playing John Terry every week. Most weeks will come up against defender of the standard of: Matty Kilgallon, Jody Craddock,Danny Collins etc. Of course you have more history of pinging between both leagues so your insight is greatly appreciated
Well... you've pointed out nothing different what the other 52,000 fans think every time Shola plays, hence why we haven't missed him for the past 6 months due to injury & still managed maintained top spot nearly all season (give or take 2nd place), still hold our unbeaten record at home & look to be promoted 4 weeks before the season officially ends with only needing a point tomorrow. We'll need investment next season obviously, realistically we could do with a decent striker with Premiership experience & a flair player in midfield for creativity, anything else would be a bonus. Other than that I think we have a decent base of players capable of keeping us up. Were looking at about £25-30m. ...A fraction of what the 'doomgaze Mackums' have spent to reach the dizzy heights of a potential 10th place position.
Take a look at your first team. Its the same team you went down with minus your 5 best players that year. Oh you also have the couple of Championship heroes you have signed like Best and Routledge. (Shame Earnshaw got away eh) Ashley isnt going to spend a penny and the coach you have made manager hasnt a clue in the big boys league. Heres the maths Team Worst than last + Better opoistion + Unproved Manager = ?????? I know a lot of you didnt finish big school but ask the guy sitting next to you on the metro to do the maths
wasn't keane an unproven manager though? id happily settle for anything above 18th place next season. We have lost quite a few players but most of them haven't been missed this season, whether thats due to weaker opposition or the players brought in to cover them doing quite well i'm not so sure. You can only beat whats in front of you though.
