15 year old lass from Glasgow just died today from contracting the bug.

Oh guess what... underlying health problems again. Where exactly do they draw the line when throwing this about now, a cough, Asthma?

Sick of hearing about this shit.

All the talk of 'don't panic' shat out by the mainstream media is blatant reverse psychology.

The stupid, unwashed masses will start worrying.

Baxter (Du Pont and Sith Lord Rumsfeld through their shares) will meanwhile be suckering us out of a shit load of cash on their shoddy tamiflu.

Notice how you haven't heard much about the fallout of this in Mexico.

Went to uni at Newcastle. Wish I went to Northumbria as my course was full of stuck up toffs with double-barrel surnames. The Duke of Northumberland's son was in my year and he was thick as shit.

i went to uni with loads of rahs but i found most of them alright. it's only the 'new money' types who try to act elitist. one of my best friends/housemates went to st. paul's and all of his family are cambridge-graduate judges and the like, he's also one of the trampiest and most unhygienic people i've ever come across.
the wellingtonians and old radley boys tend to be bellends though.

Dont be so high and mighty Allie.

I got into Uni with grades as shit as D E N. Tbh i had no interest in the subjects i was doing at A-level so did fuck all work and lots of Champ Manager.

A-level grades are not the be all and end all. At uni i did an HND in something i did find interesting, did quite well, and that got me on to the second year of the degree.

I am now a highly employable individual. :D

We used to copy all of our Engineering coursework off a lad called Wez because he was the only one who could do the maths and was probably the only reason I passed my apprenticeship.

A few months back he was in the Chronicle for "grooming" 11 year olds on the internet and owning fuck loads of child porn. He's doing 2 years in prison.

So I suppose you could say I was aided and abetted by a paedophile.

Thanks Wez. Bet you won't call me a "fucking cramlington twatbag" next time you see me and scurry away before I ask you how life's been treating you.

i entered this thread thinking the topic was swine flu and having read the last page it's turned into a unversity/career/peadophile debate.. astounding how much the topic can change in a thread!

i just wanted to add that my throat has been sore today and i'm properly paranoid about swine fever.

Get some chewable 1000mg vitamin c tablets from tesco/asda/holland and barret, as well as some of the efferfescent stuff. Also get some high strength (500mg echinacea) from boots.

Take 2g (2000mg) of vitamin C every 30 minutes, as well as 500mg of echinacea every hour. Make up 1000mg of the efferfescent stuff and sip that throughout the day.

Also, take 4 multivitamins a day, every 4 hours or so, and also you can get chewable vitamin c with zinc (like chewy sweets) which you can replace with the chewable tabs.

If you've caught it in time, you might be able to get away with having no time off, or only being ill for a day or two.
