Paula, nice pics! I tried surfing for my first time last summer, felt like i d drank half the sea! Found it pretty hardwork, but once i stood up, it was fantastic! You dont happen to know how much it is to hire a board/wet suit do you? Also how much are lessons? Thanks! Doggie
yeah, got a bit tiring towards the end, and cold! tynemouth surf co above longsands does lessons for £20 for one ore 2 hours, board and suit hire is £7.50 each but he'll give you gloves and booties for free if youve got a suit. hire is for 2 hours i think. well we were out for an hour and a half and thats what we were charged. check out www.tynemouthsurf.co.uk for all the details but if you want a surf report try 01912582496 instead, they update more often (usualy daily) the lessons arent starting till the end of may this year coz they had to wait for the lifeguards to be trained up. def have to go again! loads of fun. longsands has a dedicated surfing area too. just have to watch out for the kite surfers! (now that looks like fun! ) Paula :groovy:
its just like riding a bike lol, u ll get very very wet regardless of your standard, just you ll probably end up drinking more sea water then them...
that's the major problem Ken I can't ride a fecknig bike! that makes me really wanna do it....mite mean i get more salt into my body tho!!
