SUNDAY TRADING - HaLoWeEn PaRtY @ Egypt Cottage

When Kerry and I played back to back at Riff na Groove she proved to everyone that she is very capable of playing across a diverse range of styles. Our remit that night was to stick to funky stuff and we did.

Tony joined us for nearly an hour and he brought his own unique style to the set - pumpin' tough house music. Tony uses the mixer and graphics to turn a tune into something else altogether.

I thought it was quite hard myself, but all these labels for music only serve to cause confusion. A good tune is a good tune. A good DJ is a good DJ. Put the two together and what comes out of the speakers is bound to please.

I'm looking forward to seeing them together again very much. With their busy schedules it doesn't happen often so I reckon it's a great opportunity to see something fresh in the up close and personal way that few events can offer.

BIG well done to all concerned at Trading this week. Was really good to see the place so busy! Nice to see all the regs there, and a good few new faces.

Kerry and Tony played an absolute blinder, not taking anything away from those who played before, but their set made the night what it was!

Oh, and Neil, I want those negatives for the picture of me with the plastic haloween punpkin stuck on my head!!! Perhaps not the best idea thinking with a straight head...
